Havas Worldwide Chicago Mural
In May 2016 I was commissioned to create a interior mural for the Havas Worldwide Chicago location. The wall was approximately 300 sq. ft. and I completed it in approximately 24 hours. Black and red acrylic paint, two paint brushes and a lot of coffee were used to create this mural. Key words and phrases like "hustle", "own it" and "f*ck excuses" were requested to be portrayed in the mural to create inspiration and motivation in the work place. This mural resides in a common area used by Havas employees to conduct meetings, enjoy lunch, and ruminate amongst other things. A huge thanks to the Havas Worlwide Chicago team for having me and letting my Characters live in such a remarkable environment. The mission statement at Havas is: "To be recognized as the most creative company in the heartland by reinvigorating great American brands through cultural relevance." I'd say cheers to that.

12ozProphet Interview
While I was in Chicago, working on the Soho House Chicago Murals, I was lucky enough to be photographed and interviewed by @drewinchicago for 12ozProphet. 12ozProphet was founded in 1993 and was "established with the goal of raising the bar for the graffiti world while integrating its distinctiveness into the wider world of popular culture, art and design. In the years since, 12ozProphet has evolved to become a platform for many of its most authoritative voices." Soho House Murals Chicago, Illinois
Chicago! You make me so happy! I love this city. In April 2016 I traveled to the Windy City to work on what *I can safely say* was my favorite project to this date but also the coldest! The Soho House Chicago and Threadless teamed up in early 2015 to showcase monthly rotating murals from local and not so local Street Artists. (I was the not so local)... The Northern and Southern corners of The Soho House Chicago are prime real estate for public art in the West Loop neighborhood. The West Loop is known for it's "restaurant row" and has a quickly emerging vibrant art scene. Galleries are tucked in everywhere amid industrial buildings and street art is showcased practically around every corner. The West Loop is a cultural hot spot and I am honored to have had my art featured on two walls that amazing Chicago street artists have graced with paint. It took my two days to complete the two corners and A LOT OF WARM LAYERS. I had to stay a few extra days to wait out a snow storm and cold weather to finish the project... A few extra days in Chicago was greatly welcomed.

Cafe 983 Brooklyn, NY
NYC was my second stop on The Asta Art Tour! In March 2016 I visited my old stomping grounds in Brooklyn (Bushwick). A cafe I used to Bartend at for years was looking like it needed some help and an Asta face lift. It took me 3 days to clean, prime, paint and art up the front of http://983bk.com/ . Bushwick has become extremely well known for street art and transforming what was once a strictly industrial neighborhood, into a colorful walking outdoor public gallery space. There are over 50 galleries and alternative art spaces in the Bushwick neighborhood. I am stoked to have left my mark in my old hood and to have contributed to the outdoor street art scene.

HopCat Mural Lincoln, Nebraska
I am currently on an epic art tour across the United States! My first stop landed me in Lincoln Nebraska where I started a 2,000 sq. ft mural on February 17th 2016. I completed it in 24 days. Using a combination of ladders, scissor lifts and awkward poses, this massive bar restaurant houses my current large scale black and white mural. This mural was done free hand with out the aid of a sketch or projector... it was done completely on the spot and free styled. The breakdown of this project was: 12 paint brushes, 24 days, 264 hours, lots of paint, countless cups of coffee and many bars of soap. My journey continues on wards and up wards to Chicago, NYC, Boston, etc. Stay tuned and follow along on instagram: @lauren_asta #AstaArtTour and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LalaAsta

TimeOut Best Graffiti in San Francisco
I am super honored to have made TimeOut's Best Graffiti in San Francisco list this year! I am so proud of my massive mural that lives at Faction Brewing in Alameda. Even though it's a fine line to determine what exactly Graffiti is...let alone, what Art is... I am all giddy inside to be mentioned on this list. Thank you TimeOut!
MARTr Berkeley
A sweet new boutique opened over the weekend in downtown Berkeley! Its called MARTr! It features clothing, art, jewelry, and much more https://www.facebook.com/Martrberkeley
I was invited to create a mural for their shop. 5 days, 8 pens, 45 hours, and voila!
One of my favorite projects I have had the chance to work on. You must go and check it out! Your neck will probably hurt after staring up and reading all the details on this wall but trust me, its worth it!

20 MISSION DISTRICT ART MURAL INSTALLATION, SAN FRANCISCO, CA
I was lucky enough to be chosen as a participating artist in a multiple mural installation at 20 Mission in San Francisco, California. 20 Mission, http://www.20mission.com/, is a 41 room community in San Francisco for art and technology creators in the heart of the Mission District. The goal of these mural installations, is to celebrate their 3rd year anniversary of everything they've done as a community, growing from an abandoned hotel with just 5 tenants to a fully furnished 40-person house of creators and artists. It all began with a simple slogan: “Permission Granted.” It’s the idea that you can do whatever you want (so long as it’s awesome), without waiting for permission from the powers that be. You can paint the walls, and you can throw a party so mind-blowing that you should be indicted for how amazing it is. The anniversary celebration will occur on March 28th, 2015 at their location in the Mission District of San Francisco.
